PinkFresh Studio Floral Congrats

Hello Lovelies and welcome back to my blog! I hope you’re doing well and having a fabulous day! Today’s project is featuring the Lush Peonies product suite. I really love how PinkFresh has so many options for creating! This set has a matching stencil to add color, but you can totally choose to color this set with markers or pencils as well and it would be equally as beautiful! So let’s get into the details for this project!

I began by stamping the PFS Lush Peonies on a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossing it using Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. I adhered the first coordinating stencil to the panel using masking tape and began adding color, making my way through the set of stencils. The colors that I used were Coral Reef, Passion Fruit, Ocean Breeze and Marigold. I think this turned out to be a really beautiful color combination!

Once the stenciling was done, I used the coordinating die to trim it out. I set that aside while I worked on the background. I used the PFS Simply Hexagons to cut one panel from Neenah 110lb and I cut another panel from a piece that I had ink blended using the same Ocean Breeze ink. I adhered these two together using liquid glue, and off-setting them just slightly so that you could still see the blue portion. Once they were glued, I did have to trim off the excess from the off-set.

For some additional leaves, because we all know that I have to have additional leaves, I used the PFS Curvy Leaves die and cut a few of those. The sentiment is one that I already had in my stash, but it was made using the PFS Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and die, along with Spellbinders Gold Hot Foil and black cardstock.

Now that I had everything, I was ready to assemble! I adhered the hexagon background to the card base using liquid glue and adhered the peonies and leaves using a combination of glue and foam tape for support. The sentiment was also glued directly to the hexagon panel. It needed a little extra something, so I found this butterfly from my stash as well and added that with a little dot of glue. The butterfly was made using the PFS Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate and die, along with acetate and the same gold foil as before. Of course I had to add some PFS Gold Metallic Pearls to finish it off!

Simon Says Stamp Expletive Birthday

Hello Friends! How are you today? I hope you’re feeling great and having a wonderful day! I’m back today with a card that I made a bit ago, but just never got around to blogging or posting it! It’s using the SSS Oh Expletive die. Can I just say that I absolutely love this die?! I just think that it’s so funny and playful! Anyhoo, let’s run through the details, shall we?

This card begins with a piece of patterned paper from The Craft Consortium’s Patina paper pad. I found this pad along with a few other beauties at my local craft store and had to snap them up right away! Anyhoo, I started by stamping the SSS Wavy Circles Background onto the paper using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossing it using Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. I repeated that process a second time to achieve a smoother finish on the embossing. Next, I trimmed the paper using PFS Diagonal Stitched Rectangles .. this is one of my favorite dies to use for decorative edges!

The next part is basically just a bunch of playing! I had no idea how it would turn out, but I just went for it anyhoo! I splattered the panel using Royal Talens Amsterdam Light Gold Acrylic Ink and Ranger Gloss Spray from Dina Wakely in Turquoise. I sat that aside to dry and worked on the sentiment, knowing that I was going to come back and add more to it. I trimmed the SSS Oh Expletive die once from polished gold cardstock and twice from black cardstock, adhering all of those together using liquid glue.

Now coming back to the panel, I used the Stampers Anonymous Stencil THS006 and added some Tacky When Dry Gel Medium. This also has to set aside to dry before proceeding. Fast forward .. once that was dry, I added some Nuvo Gold Gilding Flakes using my finger and just brushed away all of the excess. Now, I have a relatively cool mixed media-ish background!

I added the sentiment to the panel using liquid glue, and also added some SSS Reverse Sassy Birthday sub-sentiments as well using foam tape. All cards need bling in my opinion, so I added a few PFS Gold Metallic Pearls to coordinate with the gold sentiment. The panel was then adhered to a black panel using foam tape again, before being adhered to the card base, which is Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock, using SSS Dot Tape Runner.

PinkFresh Studio Framed Sunflowers

Hello Friends and thanks for stopping by! I’m so glad that you joined me for my project today, which features the newly released Sunflowers Washi from PinkFresh Studio. I am in love with all of PinkFresh’s washi tapes! They make for such easy, yet beautiful projects! If you haven’t tried them, I highly recommend them! So, let’s go through the details for this project!

To begin, I rolled out the PFS Sunflowers Washi onto a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock and ran it through to die cut it using the coordinating die. Once I had all of the pieces, I began working on the design of the card. I used the PFS Diagonal Stitched Plaid to cut a panel of Neenah 110lb, and I used the PFS Stitched Scallop Square to cut those from the same cardstock.

I did some light ink blending on the stitched plaid background using PFS Sunshine ink before adhering the stitched frames using foam tape. I set out to arrange the pieces of washi atop the frames to figure out the placement. Upon doing so, I decided that I needed some gold leaves, so I used the PFS Leafy Branch die to cut that from polished gold cardstock.

I arranged the flowers and leaves and adhered those using a combination of liquid glue and foam tape, tucking pieces under to fill in the gaps. Once everything was assembled, I adhered the sentiment, which is from the PFS Celebrating You product suite. I already had this sentiment made in my stash, but to make it, I used Spellbinders Champagne Foil to foil the thinking of you sentiment, and trimmed it using the coordinating die. I also cut it two additional times and glued all of those together. The sentiment was then adhered to my project using the same combination of glue and foam tape for support.

The panel was then attached to the card base using SSS Dot Tape Runner, and PFS Gold Metallic Pearls were added for that additional pop of bling!

PinkFresh Studio Brighter Days Floral

Hello Crafty Friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by today! For months I’ve been buying new things from each PinkFresh Studio release and not using them .. my got up and go, got up and went, and took my creativity and motivation along with it. I think it was a combination of the studio being under renovation and not being able to be in there on a regular basis that took it’s toll! I’m hoping it’s back though! Anyhoo, today’s project is featuring the Brighter Days product suite, so let’s go through the details!

I ended up making two cards with the amount of flowers that I created, and I still had extras! So, I began by foiling the PFS Brighter Days Hot Foil Plate on a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock, using Spellbinders Champagne hot foil. While the foil system is hot, I always like to go ahead and foil a few of whatever I happen to be working on.

Once the foiling was complete, I used the PFS Brighter Days stencil set along with PFS inks in Sparkling Rose, Bubblegum, Sweet Mustard, Mint, Fresh Pear, Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine, Soft Lilac and Lavender to add color to these gorgeous flowers. I then used the coordinating die to cut them all out. I think that I ended up foiling five panels, so I had lots of flowers and leaves!

Next, I die cut two panels using the PFS Sparkling Diamonds, and I die cut one PFS Stitched Scallop Square and one PFS Stitched Scallop Circle using the same Neenah 110lb. Those were then adhered to the background panel using foam tape for dimension. I began arranging the flowers and leaves atop the frames to determine placement. In doing so, I decided that I need some additional white leaves for filler. I die cut the PFS Curvy Foliage a couple of times, as well as, the PFS Leafy Branch.

The sentiments used are from the PFS Celebrating You product suite. There were hot foiled using the same Spellbinders Champagne Hot Foil, and die cut three times and stacked together for dimension. I absolutely love stacking sentiments! I just love the detail and height that it adds!

Now that I have all of the components for the cards, it’s time to start assembling. The frames were already adhered to the background panel, so I began tucking and adhering the white leaves first using liquid glue. Next came the green leaves, and finally the flowers. All of these were glued in place since I already had dimension from the frames. I didn’t want the cards to end up too bulky! I adhered the sentiments using foam tape, added some PFS Sparkling Champagne Pearls to both cards, and attached everything to the card base using SSS Dot Tape Runner.

PinkFresh Studio Happy Heart Sentiments

Hello Crafty Friends! How’s your day going? I appreciate you stopping by! Today’s project is featuring some products from PinkFresh Studio and Simon Says Stamp. Super simple, but I love the completed card! Let’s get into the details!

There are so many gorgeous papers in the new PinkFresh Studio Happy Heart paper pad! When I saw this paper that I chose, I saw color coordinated sentiments on the color blocks, so that’s where I went! I began by trimming the 6×6 sheet down using the PFS Diagonal Stitched Rectangles.

I then scoured through my abundance of SSS Sentiment Strips to find some that I thought would work well together. All of these came from lots of different sets, so just find some that work for you! You could even find sentiments to stamp, and those would work wonderfully as well. Once I found a few sentiments that I liked, I pulled out some Copic markers and colored over them to coordinate with the colors on the paper. If you’re interested, the markers that I used were B0000, BG10, BG11, RV10, Y00, Y02, YR000, and YR01.

I adhered the sentiments using foam tape for dimension and I also added a few PFS Jewels in coordinating colors as well. The panel was then adhered to a black panel for contrast using a SSS Dot Tape Runner, before being adhered to the card base.

Simon Says Stamp Delicate Floral Hello

Hello Crafty Lovelies! Thanks so much for joining me today as I’m featuring the new Delicate Floral Frames from Simon Says Stamp’s latest release, Hello Gorgeous! There are so many great things in this release! Lots of super, cute things for Mother’s Day! Anyhoo, let’s go through the details, shall we?

To begin this card, I stamped one of the frames from the SSS Delicate Floral Frames set on a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossing it using Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. To be honest, I didn’t know where this card was going at this point!

I then pulled out some Copic markers to begin coloring. The markers used were Y08, Y17, Y18, BG93 and BG96. Once the coloring was done, I fussy cut the image, including cutting out the center. When I’m making cards, there’s really a lot of moving things around and putting things on this or that to see what looks good, which is what was happening with this image. I finally pulled together some ideas and proceeded along with my creating. I stamped and embossed the same floral image again a couple of times, colored the flowers and leaves, and fussy cut all of the flowers from those. I cut a panel of Neenah 110lb using the PinkFresh Studio Diagonal Stitched Rectangle and splattered that using Royal Talens Amsterdam Light Gold Acrylic Ink.

While that was drying, I used the same PFS Stitched Rectangle to cut a smaller frame. I glued that frame to the splattered panel and used the SSS Etched Eucalyptus Wreath to cut one of those and glued it to the panel as well. I thought the wreath added a nice under layer to the floral frame. I glued the floral frame atop the wreath and added my additional flowers on and around using a combination of liquid glue and foam tape for some added dimension.

I stamped a sentiment from the set using VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it using Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder. I then trimmed it out and added it using foam tape. Of course there has to be bling, so I added some PinkFresh Studio Gold Metallic Pearls. Everything was then adhered to the card base.

Simon Says Stamp Missing You Daisies

Hello Lovelies and thanks for joining me today! The newest Simon Says Stamp release, Hello Gorgeous, is gorgeous and I’ve loved playing with my goodies! Today’s project is featuring the Daisies and Leaves stencil in a combination of blue and yellow because I had the people from the Ukraine on my mind as I was making it. Let’s get into the details.

To begin this card, I secured the SSS Daisies and Leaves stencil to a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock using Pixie Spray. Normally, I just use masking tape, but because this stencil is so intricate, I thought it best to use the spray for this go around. I used SSS Pawsitively Inks in Aspen, Sunbeam, Marine and Cadette for the ink blending. When that was done, I used the PinkFresh Studio Blanket Stitched Rectangle to trim it out.

For the sentiment, I chose the SSS Missing You So Much and die cut that three times from Neenah 110lb cardstock. I ink blended one of the die cuts using the Cadette ink, and ink blended another using the Marine ink. I adhered the darker sentiment to the plain white sentiment using liquid glue, and adhered the lighter sentiment atop the darker one, offset just a tad. I also die cut the shadow once from the same Neenah 110lb cardstock and adhered the stacked sentiment to that using glue as well.

I felt like the card needed some leaves. I’ve noticed that I often feel that way, and find myself reaching for leaf dies of all varieties! Anyhoo, I used the SSS Detailed Leaf Cluster and cut that from Neenah 110lb and used the Aspen ink to do a light ink blending over those.

To assemble the card, I tucked the leaves behind the sentiment and glued those in place, and adhered the sentiment using foam tape for a little dimension. Everything was then adhered to the card base, after adding a little bling! Every card needs bling in my opinion! And it seems as though every card might need a leaf too!

Simon Says Stamp Scripty Birthday

Hello Friends and thanks for stopping by!  I’m playing with goodies from Simon Says Stamp’s latest release, Hello Gorgeous, and today I’m featuring the new Folk Art Flowers background stamp!  What are your favorites from this release?  I’d love to know in the comments! Let’s run through the details of this card.

To begin, I stamped the SSS Folk Art Flowers on a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock using VersaMark Ink and heat embossing that using Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder.  Once that was done, I used the PinkFresh Studio Diagonal Stitched Rectangles to trim it down.

For the ink blending, I used SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Bubblegum, Cheeky, Lemonade and Seafoam.  For my sentiment, I chose the SSS Happy Birthday Brush Script die and cut that once from mirror gold cardstock and twice from Neenah 110lb and adhered those together using liquid glue.

As an added focal point, I used the PinkFresh Studio Stitched Scallop Square and trimmed that using the same mirror gold cardstock.  I also used the SSS Etched Meadow Flower and Leaves set to trim some vellum leaves.

To assemble the card, I adhered the frame and vellum leaves using liquid glue, and then positioned the sentiment in the center and glued that as well.  That panel was then adhered to the card base using foam tape for dimension, and I added some PinkFresh Studio Gold Metallic Pearls to finish it up!

Simon Says Stamp Leafy Little Note

Hello Craft Friends and thanks so much for stopping by today!  The newest Simon Says Stamp release, Hello Gorgeous is live, and it’s a gorgeous one!  I’m featuring the new Tattered Leaves die for today’s project, so let’s go through the details, shall we?

To begin this project, I did some ink blending on some panels of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock using SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Carnation, Cantalope, Lemonade, Sprout, Seafoam and Marine.  Once I was done ink blending, I ran those through using the SSS Tattered Leaves die.  I set those aside while I worked on the remainder of the card.

For my background panel, I decided to use the SSS Geometric Lattice Embossing Folder.  I thought that would give some interest and texture without distracting from the focal point of the card. I chose the “a little note” sentiment, which is from the SSS Just Because Word Mix 2 set.  I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Onyx Black ink on a scrap of Neenah 110lb, and heat embossed it using Ranger Clear Embossing Powder.  I went ahead and used the coordinating die to trim that out.  For some added interest, I added a pink heart to the sentiment, which is from a Doodlebug Design sticker set.

To assemble the card, I held the sentiment atop the embossed panel while placing the leaves in rainbow order around it, tucking the ends underneath.  I secured the leaves using liquid glue, and adhered the sentiment using foam tape.  I did trim the leaves down some so that there wasn’t so much bulk underneath the sentiment.  Once everything was secured, I added in some of the trimmed off leaves to fill in.

I adhered the embossed panel to a black panel using a SSS Dot Tape Runner and then adhered that to my card base.  No card is complete without some bling, so I added some Studio Katia Majestic Confetti here and there!

Simon Says Stamp Here For You Daisy Layers

Hello Crafty Friends and thanks for stopping by! Today I’m participating in an Instagram Hop to celebrate Simon Says Stamp’s latest release, Good Luck Charm! Be sure to check it out because there are prizes to be won at each stop along the hop! Who doesn’t love prizes, right?! Today’s project is featuring the new Dreamy Daisy Layers and the Here For You dies. So let’s go through the deets!

I began this project by selecting a piece of patterned paper from the Craft Consortium Ink Drops Dusk paper pad and trimming it down using PinkFresh Studio’s Diagonal Stitched Rectangles. There are some gorgeous papers in this pad, and I can totally see just putting a beautiful sentiment on them and calling it done! Once trimmed, I splattered it using Royal Talens Amsterdam Light Gold Acrylic Ink.

My next step was to cut some SSS Dreamy Daisy Layers from Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock. I cut one larger flower and three of the smaller flowers. Before adhering those together with liquid glue, I did the slightest amount of ink blending on the bottom layer using residual ink left on my pink blending brush. For that added bling, I added some PinkFresh Studio Gold Metallic Pearls to the centers of the flowers. I knew that I wanted a gold sentiment, so I cut some gold leaves using SSS Etched Meadow Flowers and Leaves.

I used the new SSS Here for You die to cut the sentiment from polished gold cardstock once, and I cut it an additional two times from Neenah 110lb and adhered all of those together using liquid glue. I laid everything atop my panel to determine placement, and decided that the gold leaves were a little too much. They took away from the sentiment in my opinion. So, to remedy this, I cut the same leaves from vellum and glued those together. I still had the gold leaves that I wanted, but the vellum just toned them down a bit!

I then began adhering everything to the panel using glue and placed foam tape on the larger flower, and one of the smaller flowers for added dimension. My panel was then adhered to the card base using SSS Dot Tape Runner.

And that finishes up this project! I love using beautiful patterned papers for cards, along with other elements in my stash!
