Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Stacked Blooms

Hey there, Friends! Thanks for joining me! Today’s project is featuring the new Stacked Blooms Embossing Folder from Simon’s latest release, Rain or Shine. This was a super quick card, so let’s get to the details.

NOTE: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I began this project by embossing a panel of Neenah 110lb cardstock with the embossing folder and did some random ink blending on the debossed side of the panel using Carnation, Sunbeam, Surf and Cadette inks.

Once the ink blending was complete, I used my black Rainbow Splash ink pad and rubbed that on the raised portions of the panel to give this black-out feel. The You Mean The World to Me sentiment was cut once from holographic cardstock and twice from black cardstock. The shadow portion was also cut twice, and all of those pieces were adhered together using liquid glue.

The panel was adhered to the card base using foam tape, while the sentiment was glued in place. I didn’t feel that this card needed any additional bling, which is weird for me!

That finishes up this project! Like I said, a super, simple one for today. Thanks again for joining me, and I hope you have a fabulous day!

Simon Says Stamp Nifty Birthday Stars

Welcome back, Friends! Thanks so much for joining me for today’s project featuring the new Nifty Star Plate! I had a lot of fun with this plate! In a previous post, I used just the stars in a rainbow fashion, and today I’m doing an inlay. Let’s go ahead and go through the details.

NOTE: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I began this project by die cutting the Nifty Star Plate once from Neenah 110lb cardstock, once from Honey and once from Rainforest cardstock. I poked out the white stars from that panel and adhered it to my card base using liquid glue, and I then began inlaying the colored stars.

The sentiment, which is from the Clean Line Stacks set, was stamped onto more Rainforest cardstock with VersaMark ink and heat set using Detail White Embossing Powder. I used the coordinating die to trim that out, along with two additional cuts and adhered all of those together. The sentiment was added to the card using foam strips for added dimension. To finish up, I added some clear drops to the centers of the starts for shine.

That does it for this one! Thanks again for joining me! I hope you have a wonderful day, and don’t forget to stay awesome!

Simon Says Stamp Thank You Blossom

Hello Friends, and thanks so much for stopping by! I’m back with a project featuring the new Thank You Basics from Simon’s latest release, Rain or Shine. Let’s go ahead and go through the details for this one.

NOTE: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I began this project by die cutting the Elegant Blossom Branch from Neenah 110lb cardstock and ink blending the pieces using Guava, Limelicious and Pearfection inks. I did cut the stem portion two additional times and adhered those together, along with the pieces of the flowers with liquid glue.

The background was cut using the Postage Stamp Edge Frames, which is one of my favorites, and then splattered using gold acrylic ink. Once dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Thank You Basics set using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat set it with Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. The panel was then adhered to the card base using foam tape, the stem was glued in place and the flowers were adhered with additional pieces of foam tape. To finish up, I added a few clear drops for some shine.

That does it for this one! I really love the clean and simple look of this card. Clean and simple doesn’t always come easy for me, so I do enjoy when an idea comes together! Don’t forget to check out the entire Rain or Shine release over on Simon’s website. Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope you have a fabulous day!
