Simon Says Stamp You Are A Star

Hello Crafty Friends! Thanks so much for joining me for today’s project featuring the new You die and stamp set from Simon’s latest release, Cheering For You! This project is also featuring the new Starry Sky Foil Transfer Cards, so let’s run through the details!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I began this project by foiling the Starry Sky panel using silver foil and my Minc Mini. Once I was done foiling, I trimmed the panel down using the SSS Postage Stamp Edge Frames. Next, I die cut the new SSS You once from silver cardstock and three times from black cardstock and adhered all of those pieces together using liquid glue.

The sub-sentiment, which is from the new You stamp set, was stamped onto a scrap of black cardstock using VersaMark Ink and heat set using SSS Detail White Embossing Powder. Both sentiments were adhered to the foiled panel using SSS 3D Foam Strips for some added dimension.

I decided that the panel needed some black starts to tie everything together, so I used the SSS Mini Stars Party and cut a few of those and added to the panel using foam strip pieces. The panel was then adhered to the card base to finish up.

That does it for this one! Super simple, but I thought this sentiment went perfectly with these foil transfer cards. Don’t forget to check out the entire Cheering For You release over on Simon’s website! Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Spellbinders Merry Everything

Hello Crafty Friends, and welcome back! I’m glad that you stopped by to check out today’s project featuring the new Spellbinders Night & Day Pines Press Plates, along with the Mistletoe Greetings Press Plates. Let’s not waste time and get into the details!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I’ve used the Night & Day Pines Press Plates on a previous project, but I used the “day” plate, and today’s project features the “night” plate. I began this project by inking up the plate with BetterPress Black ink and running it through the machine. I did this a couple of times to make sure that I was getting good coverage. Once that was done, I did some ink blending on the panel using SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Artichoke and Latte.

I trimmed the panel down using the Spellbinders Nested Postage Labels & Tag set and then went on to foil the sentiment. This is a great holiday sentiment set, because it foils multiple sentiments at once. It foils multiples and cuts multiples at once, which is such a time saver! I wanted some gold leaves so I used the Spellbinders Poinsettia Bloom to achieve this. I thought the berries looked nice as well, and decided to use those too. I did go back and cut the berries from red cardstock and adhered those atop the gold berries.

The leaves and berries were glued in place, and I adhered the white sentiment banner atop a gold banner using SSS 3D Foam Strips, and then glued that in place. Everything was the adhered to the card base to finish up.

That does it for this project! I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope it inspires you to get crafty in your space. Don’t forget to head on over to Spellbinders to check out all of the new release items and clubs for July! Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope you have an awesome day!

Simon Says Stamp Foiled Starry Sky

Hello Crafters and welcome back! Thank you so much for stopping by to check out today’s project featuring the new Starry Sky Foil Transfer Cards from Simon’s latest release, Cheering for You. Let’s jump right into the details!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I never seem to have enough birthday cards, so I knew I wanted to make this card into a birthday card. I began by foiling the SSS Starry Sky Transfer Card using Thermoweb Lapis Watercolor Foil and my Minc Mini. Once the foiling was complete, I used the SSS Postage Stamp Edge Frames to trim it down.

I used the SSS Basic Box Card Happy Birthday sentiment and cut that once from silver cardstock and twice from black cardstock. I also cut the shadow portion twice and adhered all of the pieces together using liquid glue.

The panel was adhered to the card base using foam tape and the sentiment was glued directly to the panel to finish up.

A super simple card for today, but this Lapis foil is really beautiful and has an interesting feel to it. I hope you enjoyed this project, and I hope it inspires you to get crafty in your space. Spellbinders Birthday Balloons

Hello Friend, and welcome back to my blog! Today’s project is featuring the new Spellbinders Sprinkled Confetti BetterPress Press Plate in the form of a fun birthday card! Let’s get into the details!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I began this project by foiling the Sprinkled Confetti plate using gold foil and trimmed it down using the Spellbinders Nested Postage Labels and Tag set. I then went to work on the balloons using various pink cardstock colors and the Spellbinders Color Block Balloons set.

Once the balloons were assembled, I added some flowers to the balloons for some added interest using the Spellbinders Mini Blooms and Sprigs set. These were flowers that I already had made from a previous project, and I thought they added a nice touch.

I foiled the Happy Birthday sentiment, which is from the Spellbinders Birthday Celebrations Collection, using the same gold foil, and trimmed it out with the coordinating die along with three additional cuts and stacked those. Unfortunately, this Glimmer Hot Foil set of sentiments has been discontinued.

I adhered the balloon strings using liquid glue, and the balloons along with the sentiment were adhered using foam strips. Everything was then adhered to the card base to finish up.

That does it for this project! Even though this plate is included in a holiday collection, I thought it would be great for a birthday card. I can totally see it as snow too! Don’t forget to head over to Spellbinders to check out all of the new July releases! Thanks again for stopping by, and have an awesome day!

Spellbinders Amazing Florals

Hello Crafty Friends, and thanks so much for joining me for today’s project featuring the new Spellbinders Argyle Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. I look for any excuse to use the many, amazing flowers from Spellbinders, and today’s project gave me just that opportunity! Let’s go ahead and get into the details!

I began this project by embossing the Argyle Plaid onto a panel of black cardstock. I knew that I wanted a black and gold background with lots of flowers, so I then took gold ink and a brayer and rolled that over the raised portions of the panel. Yes, it messed up in one or two places, but I love the look just the same!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

Next, I die cut a bunch of flowers and leaves from pink and green cardstock using the Spellbinders Club Blooms and the Spellbinders Sealed Leaf Sprigs. I also die cut some of the flower centers from black, gold and yellow cardstock as well. Once the cutting was done, I used SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Bubblegum, Carnation, Honey and Pearfection and did some ink blending before assembling the flowers.

This super awesome sentiment is from the Spellbinders Making Me Smile Sentiments Hot Foil set, and I foiled that using gold foil onto black cardstock and trimmed it out with the included die. This is one of those sets that creates multiple sentiments at once, and that is a game changer! I did two extra cuts and adhered the three layers together using liquid glue for a stacked sentiment.

Now to assemble this masterpiece! I adhered the embossed panel to the card base and glued the leaves in place first, followed by the flowers. The two larger flowers, as well as the sentiment, were adhered using foam strips for a little added dimension. To finish up, I added some PFS Gold Metallic Pearls to tie everything together.

That does it for this project! I hope you don’t get tired of flowers, because I sure don’t get tired of creating with them! Thanks again for joining me today, and don’t forget to stop by and check out all the new July releases over on the Spellbinders website. Have a wonderful day!

Spellbinders Sending You Joy

Hello Crafty Friends! Thanks so much for stopping by to check out today’s projects featuring the new Spellbinders Night & Day Pines Press Plate. What a fun set this is! I love that you get two plates in this set that give two different looks! Let’s run through the details!

Main Products:

For this card, I used the “day” press plate, which gives a brighter, more airy image. I began by inking the press plate using PinkFresh Studio Evergreen ink, and running it through the machine. I then used the Spellbinders Nested Postage Labels & Tag set to trim that panel down. I decided that the panel was a little too bright, so I did some light ink blending using SSS Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Cabbage.

I used the Spellbinders Club Blooms and Floral Spray sets to create the cluster of flowers and leaves. These were die cut from red and various colors of green cardstock. I did do some ink blending on those using SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Cabernet and Kale to add some shading and dimension. Once the ink blending was complete, I added some PFS Gold Metallic Pearls to the centers of the flowers for some added shine.

The leaves and smaller flowers were adhered to the panel using liquid glue, while the larger flower was adhered using SSS 3D Foam Strips. The sentiment is from the new Spellbinders Mistletoe Greetings Press Plate set, and that was foiled using gold foil and trimmed out using the included dies. This is one of those great sets that creates multiple sentiments at one time, which I absolutely love!

The sentiment was tucked into the flower slightly and adhered with foam strips as well. The panel was then adhered to the card base to finish up.

That does it for this project! I hope you enjoyed it! Don’t forget to head on over to the Spellbinders site to check out all of the new releases and club kits! Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Spellbinders Happy Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends, and welcome back to my blog! I’m back today with a project featuring the new Spellbinders Poinsettia Spray, along with the new Starshine Background as well. Both of these products are from their new Home for the Holidays Collection that is available now over on their website. So, let’s go ahead and run through the details, shall we?

The Poinsettia Spray, as the name suggests, does creates a spray, however, I wanted to make a wreath with the flowers instead. Just another way to stretch your supplies! I began this project by cutting the poinsettias from the set a bunch of times from pink cardstock. While I was cutting, I cut some of the holly leaves and the flower centers from green cardstock as well. Once those were all cut, I sat down to do some ink blending using SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Bubblegum, Carnation and Pearfection.

I then assembled the flowers and set those aside while I worked on the rest of the card. I used the Spellbinders Starshine Background and cut that from a panel of Neenah 110lb cardstock and trimmed that down ever so slightly. I started arranging the poinsettias and holly leaves atop the background panel and, of course, decided that I needed more leaves. I cut some leaves from the Spellbinders Club Blooms from the same green cardstock and a few from gold cardstock as well. Those green leaves got the same ink blending before moving on with wreath assembly.

I adhered the leaves in place first using liquid glue, then glued the larger flowers in place and then secured the smaller flowers with foam tape for a little added dimension. I then went back through and glued the tiny holly leaves, as well as the gold leaves in place.

Tracy-Ware-2024-Home for the Holidays

The sentiment is from the new Spellbinders Mistletoe Greetings BetterPress set, and that foiled using gold foil. This is a great set, because it creates several sentiments with one pass, and I just love sets like that! The sentiment was adhered atop the flowers using SSS 3D Foam Strips, and the entire panel was adhered to the card base with foam tape. I added a few clear drops for a bit of interest to finish up.

That does it for this one! I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope it inspires you to get crafty in your space! Don’t forget to check out the entire Home for the Holidays Collection over on the Spellbinders website! Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

PinkFresh Pastel Joyful Leaves

Hello Friends, and welcome back! I appreciate you stopping by to check out today’s project featuring some new-ish products from PFS! Let’s not waste time and jump right into the details.

Main Products:

I began this project by foiling the PFS Joyful Day Press Plate using gold foil. Yes, you read that correctly! That’s the great thing about Press Plates .. They can be foiled, they can be inked and used as a press plate, and they can also be used to make an embossed impression if you so desire. No worries if you haven’t delved into the world of press plates, just use your Glimmer machine! I also foiled the PFS Decorative Frames using the same gold foil, along with the sentiment, which is from the PFS Script Sentiments Hot Foil Plate set. The frames were then cut using the coordinating die.

Moving on .. Since the machine was already hot, I used the PFS Solid Hot Foil Plate to go ahead and transfer the reverse image of the Joyful Day onto a panel of Neenah 110lb cardstock, because I wanted to use that as well. Before using the coordinating die to trim the leaves out, I used the coordinating stencil to do some ink blending using PFS inks in Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Ocean Breeze and Turquoise.

The sentiment was cut two additional times and glued together for a stacked sentiment, which I really enjoy! Now that I have all of the pieces for the card, I started playing around with placement, and decided that I wanted a textured background inside the frame, so I used the PFS Dotted Chevron for that. I did some very light ink blending in the upper corner using the same Sparkling Rose ink, and I just trimmed it down to fit inside the frame without any of the edges showing.

I adhered the ink blended leaves atop the gold leaves with liquid glue and also glued the chevron panel behind the frame. The leaves were then glued in place, along with the sentiment, and the panel was secured to the card base with foam tape for some added dimension. To finish up, I added a few clear drops.

That does it for this one! I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope it inspires you to get crafty in your space! Thanks again for stopping by, and don’t forget to stay awesome!

Simon Says Stamp Paper Hug Leafy Cluster

Hello Crafty Friends, and welcome back to my blog! I appreciate you stopping by to check out today’s project featuring the new Bad Day, Good Vibes stamp set, from Simon’s latest release, Sunny Vibes. I’m pairing it with the Friendship Leafy Cluster product suite, which is a favorite of mine. Let’s go ahead and get to the details!

Main Products:

I began this project by stamping the leaves from the SSS Friendship Leafy Cluster set onto a panel of Neenah 110lb cardstock using VersaFiny Onyx Black ink and heat setting it using Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. I did stamp several leaves, because I really wasn’t sure where this card was going. Once the stamping was done, I used the coordinating stencil to add color using SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Bubblegum, Carnation, Lemonade and Citrine.

Once satisfied with the ink blending, I used the coordinating die to trim out the leaves. I did cut five more leaves from Neenah 80lb cardstock and adhered all of those together with the ink blended leaf with liquid glue for LOTS of dimension! Next, I took a panel of Neenah 110lb cardstock and foiled the SSS Mini Slimline Falling Dots Foil Plate. Unfortunately, I believe Simon must have discontinued this plate, because I was unable to locate it on their website. My apologies for that .. I will link to a similar product. I did have to foil the panel twice to cover the size of panel that I wanted. I then used the SSS Postage Stamp Edge Frames to trim it down.

I stamped this super cute sentiment from the new SSS Bad Day, Good Vibes set using the same Onyx black ink and the same embossing powder and used my Brother Scan n Cut to trim it out. I adhered the foil panel to the card base using SSS Dot Tape Runner, and the leaf was glued directly to the panel, while the sentiment was adhered using SSS 3D Foam Strips to match the thickness of the leaf.

That does it for this one! I love this leaf, and I love the colors along with the cute foiled dots! Like I said, this set is a definite favorite of mine. I hope you enjoyed this project too, and I hope it inspires you to get crafty in your space. Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope you have a fabulous day!
