Simon Says Stamp Delicate Blossoms

Hello Friend, and thanks for joining me! Today’s project is featuring the new Delicate Blossoms stamp from Simon’s latest release, Happy Camper. I began this project by stamping the image onto a panel of watercolor paper using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat setting it using clear embossing powder. I then went to work using pan watercolors to color the image. I’m not even going to lie, this process too me almost an entire day! I’m very slow and I wanted to make sure that I had some depth to the flowers and leaves.

Once I was satisfied, I used the new More A7 Rectangles set to trim it down. I added some foam tape to the back of the panel and adhered it to a black panel for some contrast. I cut my card base, black splattered it and set it aside while I worked on the sentiment. I cut the hello once from silver cardstock and twice from black cardstock, while cutting the shadow portion twice as well. All of those pieces were adhered together before moving on.

I adhered the panel to the card base, glued my sentiment in place and added some silver embellishments to finish up. I chose the space near the bottom right, because I did not want to cover up any of the flowers that I had spent hours coloring!

It’s Friday, we made it, and I’m back with a super duper, simple card using an alcohol panel and a cover die cut that were just hanging out in my stash!

Happy Monday, Friends! I was asked recently to create some sympathy cards, and I always find these cards difficult to make, but I kept it toned down and simple. I feel like white on white or white with grey is peaceful ad soothing, especially during a difficult time.

The other day I created a large watercolor panel with some stamping and splatter to cut all kinds of @simonsaysstamp hearts from to create four different projects. Happiest Wednesday, Friends! I’m back with another simple card design using an embossing folder and white ink along with a brayer. I love the hint of white on the edges of the flowers paired with a coordinating sentiment and gems for a little pop of color. Hope you all have an awesome day!

Simon Says Stamp You Grow, Girl!

Hello Friends and thanks for stopping by! I’m so glad that you joined me today for a project featuring the new Rooting For You set from Simon’s latest release, Happy Camper. It’s a quick one, so let’s run through the deets!

I began this project by stamping one of the critters from the set onto Neenah 110lb cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat setting it with clear embossing powder. I used Copics C1, C3, C4, C5, C7, R81, R83, YG17, E23, E27, E37, YR16 and YR18 to color in the image. Once finished, I fussy cut the image out, because I did not have the coordinating dies.

My background was created using the Postage Stamp Edge Frames and the smooshing technique used by Cathy Zielske. I smooshed Bubblegum ink onto my glass mat, spritzed it with water, and then used a ziplock bag with a paper towel inside of it to smoosh it onto the ink and then onto the paper for an organic look. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment using the same black ink.

The critter was adhered using foam tape and the panel was adhered to the card base using foam tape as well. I added pink glitter drop to the center of the flower to finish up.
