My project got pretty detailed, and I apologize for that, but let’s go ahead and run through the details! I began by creating the background first using Distress Oxide sprays in Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Broken China. I did also use regular Distress spray in Gathered Twigs. I was drying my panel between ink applications, so that I would get some good color variations. Once I was satisfied with the background, I did some stamping using various Tim Holtz sets from my stash, and trimmed it down using A2 Postage Rectangles. I knew that I wanted some texture as well, so I mixed some Ranger Transparent Texture Paste with some Distress Salvaged Patina Paint and added that through the TCW Mini Well Rounded Stencil. I’m not even sure if this stencil is still available, but any stencil that you love would work just great!

For the focal image, I stamped the Floral Trims stamp onto a panel of watercolor paper using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat set that using clear embossing powder. I then did some watercoloring using Distress Oxide ink pads in Salvaged Patina and Walnut Stain. While I was creating my background panel, I went ahead and created another panel that I used to cut the frame surrounding the floral. That was trimmed out using the same postage set and adhered to the floral.

The background panel was adhered to a black panel for contrast, and then adhered to the card base. I added some bits from the Tim Holtz Curator Ephemera Pack, as well as some Field Notes PET Tape from 49 and Market. The floral was adhered using foam tape and some black butterflies were added to tie in all of the black stamping. The sentiment is from the Tim Holtz Theories Quote Chips set that I added some Salvaged Patina ink to and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to give it a bit of shine.

That does it for this project! I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope you’ll stop by again next month to find out what our featured product or brand will be! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you have a fabulous day!

I began my project by creating a large watercolor panel with various greens. The panel also features some stamping, splattering, stenciling and doodling. I made a video of one of my previous panels, if you care to check it out. Once I was done creating that, I die cut several leaves from the panel using the Leaf Mix Die Set from Altenew. My background features a Seafoam panel that was stamped with the Leaf Canopy using VersaMark ink and heat set using clear embossing powder.

I needed a frame, so I had to use one from Pinkfresh, and that was cut once from the same Seafoam cardstock and twice from white cardstock. Those were adhered together and then adhered to the stamped panel. I also die cut some of the leaves from gold for an additional layer.

While I was cutting from gold, I cut the sentiment, which is from the Slim Sentiments Die Set, once from the gold and twice from white cardstock. This is a very long sentiment, so I did some cutting and snipped everything off except thank you so much portion.

The leaves were adhered to the frame using liquid glue, and the sentiment was tucked in before adding some gold metallic pearls to finish up.

That does it for this project! I hope you’ll swing by and check out the other designers posts and give them some love! Join us next month for a new featured brand!

Together By Design Color Cube Floral

This month’s featured brand:  The Color Cubes – #193

Here is a list of designers participating this month:

I began my project by gold foiling the Pinkfresh Plumeria Press Plate twice. I did it twice, because I wasn’t sure if I was going to use one or two on my card. Once the foiling was complete, I pulled the inks that I thought best matched the featured card number. I began my ink blending using the coordinating stencils and then trimmed them out using the coordinating dies.

The backgrounds was created by gold splattering the Ornate Banner and the Stitched Basket Weave.. As I always say, I needed more leaves, so I cut the Curvy Leaves from Peridot and Gold cardstock. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate the banner and leaves to link to, but just use items in your stash!

The banner and panel were adhered to the card bases, the leaves were secured in place using liquid glue and the floral panel was adhered with foam tape. The sentiments were gold foiled as well, added with foam tape, and some gold metallic pearls were added to tie it all together and finish up.

That does it for this month’s project! I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope you’ll go check out the other designer’s projects using this same card number from the Color Cubes. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Together by Design Featuring Pinkfresh Studio

This month’s featured brand:  Pinkfresh Studio

Here is a list of designers participating this month:

For this month’s Pinkfresh project, I used several different products, and I’ll list all of those at the bottom of this post. I began my project by gold foiling the Timeless Tulips and ink blending using the coordinating stencils. Once satisfied with those results, I trimmed it out with the coordinating die. I really love the product suites that Pinkfresh offers, and am noticing that more companies are jumping on that bandwagon.

My background was created using the Blanket Stitched Octagons with some ink blending and gold splatter. When I was foiling, I went ahead and foiled the sentiment and the small butterfly onto acetate. I’m not sure the Small Butterflies set is made anymore, unfortunately. Those were trimmed out using the coordinating die cuts as well.

The florals were adhered to the background using foam tape, the sentiment was glued in place and the butterfly was secured with strong double sided tape. The panel was adhered to the card base, and I trimmed off the edges with scissors to give it that shaped card look. Some clear drops were in order to finish this project up.

I hope you like it as much as I do! This is a beautiful color combination, and I love how it turned out! Stay tuned for next month where we will feature a different company, and you can see how we all have our own spin on things! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Together By Design featuring Kristina Werner with Concord and 9th

This month’s featured brand:  Kristina Werner with Concord & 9th

Here is a list of designers participating this month:

NOTE: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

For this month’s project, I opted to use several products from Kristina including the Pretty Posies Background Stamp, along with Pretty Posies Dies, Written Words Stamps and the Long Line Leaves Dies. My design ended up being a twofer, hence using multiple sentiment sets. Let’s go through the detail

I began by stamping the Pretty Posies Background onto a panel of black cardstock using VeraMark Ink and heat setting that using Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder. I then took my scissors and fussy cut around the flowers creating two separate panels.

Truth be told, I could have cut the panel apart better and ended up with a larger second panel, but what was done was done! Before adhering the panels with foam tape, I did gold splatter both card bases, stamped the Feel Better Soon sentiment with VersaFine Black Onyx ink and heat set that using Ranger Clear Embossing Powder.

I die cut the sentiment for the other card three times using the same black cardstock for a stacked sentiment look, along with three small flowers for added interest. To finish up, I added some gold gems to the centers of the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed this project as much as I did! I don’t often do twofer projects, but am pleasantly surprised when it happens that way! Stay tuned next month where we will feature a different brand that all of us will be creating with! Stay awesome, friend and have an awesome day!
