Spellbinders July Clubs Blog Hop

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today, the Spellbinders team is spotlighting the July Clubs with an awesome blog hop! Comment along the hop for your chance to win a $50 gift certificate to Spellbinders! Details below. I’m showcasing a card that I created using the July Card Kit of the Month, so let’s jump right in!

I began this project by trimming a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock just smaller than an A2 card. I popped the panel in the Misti and repeatedly stamped the two larger flowers from the included stamp set with VersaMark ink, and white heat embossed those using SSS Detail White Embossing Powder.

I did some light ink blending over the panel using Distress Oxide inks Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron and Broken China. Once the ink blending was complete, I adhered the panel to a card base, which is also included in the card kit.

I loved the Bonjour sentiment in the ephemera pack, so I placed foam tape on the back of that and adhered it towards the bottom of my card. I wanted a sub-sentiment, so I foiled the Hello Friend sentiment, which is from the Spellbinders Everyday Sentiments II set, using Champagne foil. I adhered that under the main sentiment using foam tape as well.

To finish up the project, I adhered two of the included dimensional butterflies for added interest. I hope you enjoyed this project, and I hope it inspires you to get crafty! Head over to Spellbinders to check out all of the clubs they have to offer!

As I mentioned above, to celebrate the release of the July clubs, we are having an awesome blog hop! We are giving away a $50 gift certificate to three lucky blog readers, so hop along for your chance to win! Giveaway closes on Sunday, July 18th, 11:59 pm MST. The winner will be announced in this blog hop post the following Tuesday. Winners are responsible for shipping costs, duties and taxes. Please note, gift certificates cannot be applied to Club Subscriptions. They can be applied to shop past Club products, Club extras and regular releases. The full hop list is below! Happy hopping!

Spellbinders July Card Kit of the Month Inspiration

Hello Crafty Friends! Hope your weekend is off to a great start! The Spellbinders July Clubs are now available, and today I’m featuring the July Card Kit of the Month, Damask Daydream! You can join any of the Spellbinders Clubs now through July 24th to receive the current July kits! So let’s jump right in to today’s projects!

The Card Kits are so great, because you have everything included in the kit to make at least ten cards! There’s always super cute patterned papers, stamps, ephemera, dies and even more! For this post, I created four cards using the goodies from the kit. My favorite things to work with are always the papers and the ephemera pieces, which you’ll see from the pics!

So for this first project, I trimmed a couple of the patterned papers to fit an A2 sized card. I also used the included leaf die cuts to cut some gold leaves to add to my project. I adhered the ephemera pieces using a combination of glue and foam tape and glued the gold leaves around those for that added interest and shine. I love all the shine from this gold cardstock!

For my second project, I used the Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangles to cut a piece of the patterned paper, and once again cut some leaves from gold cardstock. I positioned the pink ephemera Beautiful square in the center of my card and attached the glitter Hello along the side of it securing the overhang with foam tape. I cut two pink flowers using the included flower die and adhered those together.

I adhered the pink ephemera flower using foam tape, and adhered the die cut flower with liquid glue. I used glue to adhere the gold and green leaves under and around the flowers. I also added some Spellbinders Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems for a little more bling.

The third project once again uses the Hemstitch Rectangles along with lots of ephemera pieces and included stickers. I fell in love with the gold leaves, so of course, I had to cut some more of those. I centered the Think Happy Thoughts sticker in the center of my card and adhered the surrounding floral elements using foam tape. I tucked in some gold leaves using glue and added one of the included purple butterflies.

My last project actually utilizes the floral frame die cut, the flower die cut and the included stamp set! I stamped the Hello Beautiful sentiment from the stamp set using VersaMark Ink on Neenah Classic Crest 110lb and heat embossed it using Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder, trimming it afterwards. I used the Hemstitch Rectangles again to cut a panel of patterned paper and adhered the white floral frame to that.

I also cut a purple and white flower and glued those together and glued it to the corner of the floral frame. I added the sentiment pieces to the card using foam tape for dimension, as well as, one of the purple floral stickers. For added interest, I added some of the Damask Daydream Gems included in the kit.

Spellbinders June Card Kit of the Month

Hey Guys and welcome back! Today I’m showcasing a few cards that I created using the Spellbinders Wild Hello June Card Kit of the Month. If you’ve never tried their Card Kits, I highly recommend them! Everything you need to create at least ten cards is in this kit! I just love the ephemera pieces in this kit, as you’ll see from my set of cards. So let’s get into the them!

For most of my projects, I used the pack of decorative cards as the focal point, as well as, papers from the included 6×6 pack of paper. For this first Hello card, I used only elements from the kit, with the exception of the black and white twine. Everything was assembled using a combination of glue and foam tape. I did a repeat pattern of the Hello die in gold for added interest.

My second card features patterned paper, ephemera elements, puffy stickers and the Happy Birthday die. I did die cut the Happy Birthday a couple of times from heavy white cardstock and once from gold cardstock and adhered those together using glue, because dimension is life! Once again, everything was assembled using glue and foam tape.

This third card, Always You, uses those cute decorative cards again. These really do make a great focal point, which makes for a super easy card! And, I need easy sometimes! The only additional products that I used for this one is some gold splatter, a corner rounder punch and some jewel embellishments. I thought some bling was in order! Glue and foam tape pulled this one together as well!

More sunshine! More smiles! I trimmed this decorative card down to an oval, because I had in my head that this would be super cute as a shaker card! The white round oval is a die from the Elliptical Ovals set that I used in conjunction with some acetate to create the shaker. All of the other elements are from the kit.

My last card ended up being my favorite, I guess because I love the black and white elements mixed with the bright colors. Additional products used on this card were a couple of flowers that I made using the Mini Blooms and Sprigs set, along with some black jewels and a corner rounder punch. Everything was assembled with a combination of glue and foam tape.

That finishes up my projects using this fun, Wild Hello June Card Kit! This is my first card kit from Spellbinders, and I’m quite pleased at how easy it was to create cards using all of the cute tidbits included in the kit! I hope you’ll stop by their website to check it out! I’ve recently joined their Large Die of the Month and Glimmer of the Month Clubs, and am having a blast with those too! Anyhoo, thanks so much for stopping by today, and I hope you enjoyed these projects!

Stay awesome sweet friends!
