Among all of the papers in Box 11, I chose this medium grey, a matte silver and a white shimmer cardstock. There’s also a really interesting black, which is from Box 10, that feels almost like suede. I love it so much, but I think box 10 might already be sold out, unfortunately.

I began this project by cutting 1/4 inch strips of the chosen cardstock colors, and gluing them in place atop an already black splattered panel of Neenah 110lb cardstock. I die cut several small flowers using the “suede” type cardstock and the Spellbinders Floral Spray set. I adhered those along the bottom stripe of color and added a matte silver pearl to the centers of the flowers. The sentiment, which is from the Everyday Words on a Line set, was cut from regular black cardstock and glued directly to the panel. Unfortunately, this sentiment set has been discontinued, but any small sentiment would work fine.

Everything was then secured to a black panel before being adhered to the card base, and that finishes up this project! I hope you enjoyed it! Don’t forget to check out Your Paper Insider, and give them a follow on Instagram to see some awesome projects from various makers. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Lovely Heart Grids Featuring Your Paper Insider

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome back! I recently received Box 11 from Your Paper Insider, and went to work on creating a few cards! If you haven’t looked into Your Paper Insider, I encourage you to do so! It’s a quarterly subscription box filled to the brim with interesting and gorgeous papers from all over the world! Let’s go ahead and go through the details for this set!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

All of the cardstock for both of these cards came from Box 11 with the exception of the black. I thought the pink and purple paired nicely with this awesome purple glitter paper! I began this project by die cutting the SSS Printmaking Hearts once from all three of the colors.

For one of the cards, I opted to splatter the card base with Distress Oxide Sprays in Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet, while the hearts for the second card got the splatter. I just wanted to mix up the design a little between the two cards.

I placed foam strips on the back of the hearts and secured them to the card bases, mixing up the pattern, but still having the glitter heart in the center. The sentiments were stamped onto black cardstock using VersaMark Ink and heat set using SSS Detail White Embossing Powder. They were trimmed out along with two additional cuts for a stacked sentiment, and adhered directly to the heart using liquid glue.

That does it for these projects! I hope you like them! They’re both simple projects, but sometimes simple is good! Don’t forget to check out Your Paper Insider! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

PinkFresh Studio Leafy Garden Party with Your Paper Insider

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome back to my blog! A little while back, I received a special box from Your Paper Insider and decided to create some gorgeous flowers with some of the paper, and today’s project is that result! If you haven’t checked them out, I highly recommend that you do! It’s a super, fun subscription box filled with at least 20 different papers from around the world, to include gorgeous cardstock colors, specialty papers and art papers. Ok, let’s go ahead and go through the details for this project.

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I began this project by die cutting flowers using the Garden Party set and papers from Your Paper Insider. I did do some ink blending on the flowers, to add more depth, using Sweet Mustard and Atlantis inks. You guys know that I always have to use more leaves so I used the Leafy Branch and foiled the Joyful Day leaves.

Continuing to work on the focal point of the card, I used the Charming Stitched Florals and then used the Folk Edge Circles to cut a small panel. The sentiment, which is from the Wonderful Sentiments BetterPress set, was gold foiled and trimmed out using the coordinating die cut.

Before assembling the pieces, I gold splattered my card base for added interest and began by adhering the foiled leaves using liquid glue. The circular panel was then adhered using foam tape and the smaller white leaves were adhered next. The flowers and sentiment were added lastly to finish up.

That does it for this project! I hope you’ll take a look at Your Paper Insider! I’m looking forward to creating more projects with the goodies in my box! Thanks again for joining me, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
