Simon Says Stamp Fun With Friends

Hey There, and welcome back! I’ve done a couple of cutesy cards lately, and here is my second one featuring the Cute Campers set from Simon’s latest release, Happy Camper. Let’s go ahead and go through the deets!

NOTE: all supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I began this project by stamping all of my elements using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat setting them with clear embossing powder. I then used way too many Copic Markers to color in all of my images! I’ll list those at the bottom of this post, to save space and time.

Once all of the coloring was complete, I fussy cut the images out. There are coordinating dies for this set to make things easier, but I didn’t have those. My background panel was created using a deckle edge die cut and some ink blending with Sky, Dusk, Night, Sunbeam and Black inks. I did add some white splatter on the panel to mimic stars for some added interest.

The tent, trees and camper element were adhered directly to the panel with liquid glue, because I wanted them to appear more in the background, while the critters, fire and sentiment were adhered with foam tape. The panel was then adhered to the card base to finish up.

That’s it for this project! I hope you enjoyed it! Cutesy cards really aren’t in my wheelhouse, but I really enjoyed creating this scene! Thanks again for joining me, and I hope you have an awesome day, friends!

Spellbinders Best Friends

Hello Crafty Friends! I’m so glad that you stopped by! The Spellbinders August releases are live, and I’m back today with a card featuring the new All Seasons Spring BetterPress Press Plate. Let’s not waste time and go through the details!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I look for any reason to create with Spellbinders flower sets, so having a new sentiment set was all I needed to pull them out. The Spellbinders All Season Spring set is great because it’s a single plate and a single die, so you’re able to create multiple sentiments in one pass! I love this so much, because it allows you to add so many sentiments to you stash for those times when you don’t have much time to create.

I began this card by pulling an inspiration card from the Color Cubes and die cutting a bunch of flowers and leaves from aqua, various shades of blue, yellow and black cardstock using several sets from Spellbinders. I’ll link to those sets below for your reference. Once those were cut, I did some ink blending on the flowers using SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Seafoam, Morning and Dusk, before adhering the pieces together using liquid glue.

For my background panel, I used the Spellbinders Fluted Classic Rectangles and splattered that with black acrylic ink. While that was drying, I prepared my sentiment by using BetterPress Black Ink onto Grey BetterPress Paper. I did cut the sentiment several times for a stacked sentiment for added dimension.

I began adhering the leaves to my panel using glue, along with the lower level flowers. Once I reached the main flowers, those were adhered with foam strips, as well as the sentiment. To finish up, I did add some clear drops for a little shine.

That does it for this one! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! I really can’t get enough of creating beautiful flowers! Thanks again for stopping by, and don’t forget to head over to the Spellbinders site to check out all of the new August releases! Have yourself a wonderful day!

Simon Says Stamp Lucky Mosaic Tulips

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome back to my blog! I’m so glad that you stopped by! Simon’s latest release, Splendor, is live and I’m featuring a card today using the new Mosaic Tulips Stencil, along with the Fancy Lucky die and the Lucky Sentiment Strips. Let’s get to the details!

I began this project by pulling a card from my Color Cubes to get some inspiration. Once decided, I taped down the stencil and a panel of Neenah 110lb cardstock and began ink blending using SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Heather and Morning. The third color that I used is C&9th Aqua Sky. This is a three-stencil set, and I used one color for each stencil. For the tulips, I did go back through and use a heavier hand for the centers of the tulips for a little shading dimension.

Once the ink blending was complete, I trimmed it down using the PFS Diagonal Stitched Rectangles. I die cut the SSS Fancy Lucky Die once from SSS Matte Silver cardstock and three times from Neenah 110lb cardstock. I also cut the shadow twice and adhered all of those together using liquid glue. I also selected a sub-sentiment from the new SSS Lucky Sentiment Strips.

To assemble the card, I adhered the Lucky sentiment and the sub-sentiment using SSS 3D Foam Strips. The panel was then adhered to the card base using foam tape. Yes, this card has lots of dimension, but I love dimension! To finish up, I added a few silver pearls for added interest.

That does it for this card. A pretty simple card, but I love the color combo! I hope you enjoyed this project, and I hope it inspires you to get crafty in your space! Don’t forget to check out the entire Splendor release! Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Simon Says Stamp Mini Slimline Patterns

All the Feels Release

Hello and welcome back! Today I’m featuring a super fun product from the new Simon Says Stamp All the Feels release, Mini Slimline Patterns 1. This is a set of three stencils that consists of circles, stars and stripes, perfect for all of those cute mini slimline cards!

Let’s get into today’s project! To begin, I cut three panels that were the same size as the stencils from Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock, and taped those to the stencils using masking tape. Since I created three cards, I’ll go through each one separately.

For the circle stencil, I ink blended PinkFresh Studio Sparkling Rose, Sunshine and Ocean Breeze. I then went over the ink with Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel – Iridescent, and set that aside to dry while I worked on my sentiment. I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Love You once from gold cardstock and three times from Neenah 110lb cardstock and adhered those together using Craft Tacky Glue. I also die cut the Simon Says Stamp Outline Clustered Leaves once from Neenah 110lb. Once my panel was dry, I glued the leaves down only using the center stem. I then glued my sentiment atop that, along with some PinkFresh Studio Crystals Mix. I adhered my panel to another panel of Concord and 9th Sprout cardstock using 3M Foam Tape. That was then adhered to my card base which happens to be Neenah Classic Crest 110lb.

For the star stencil, I ink blended PinkFresh Studio Mint, Ocean Breeze and Soft Lilac. And again, I went over that with the Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel – Iridescent. I used the Simon Says Stamp Friends die for my sentiment and cut that three times from Neenah 110lb. I adhered those together using Craft Tacky Glue and snipped the “S” off of Friends. I used the new Mini Starts Party die to cut stars from white and glitter cardstock. I used the same inks to do a little ink blending on the white stars. I glued my friend sentiment directly to my card panel and attached the “shine brightly,” which is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Sentiment Label Stickers, using 3M Foam Tape, along with the stars. I mounted my panel to another panel of Simon Says Stamp Sea Glass cardstock using foam tape, and that was then adhered to my card base finishing up this project.

Now for the striped stencil .. I ink blended Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire, Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar and went over that with the same glitter gel. I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Just Because sentiment three times from Neenah 110lb and adhered those together using Craft Tacky Glue. I also used the Simon Says Stamp Cosmo Flower Frame for this one and trimmed the flower out of the frame.

I adhered my sentiment directly to my card panel, and adhered the flower using foam tape. I once again adhered this panel to another panel of Simon Says Stamp Sea Glass cardstock before adhering that to my card base. I ended up using PinkFresh Studio Jewels Mix for my necessary bling!

There’s three projects using the three stencils from the new Mini Slimline Patterns 1! These were super fun to make because I always forget about busting out my gels and pastes! Don’t forget to check out the new release, All the Feels! So much stuff to inspire you!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and stay awesome my friend!
