Pinkfresh Best Tulips

Hello Crafty Friends, and welcome back! I recently purchased some new Pinkfresh products and needed to play with the Timeless Tulips product suite! It’s so very pretty, and I just couldn’t wait any longer! Let’s go ahead and go through the details, shall we?

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I began this project by gold foiling the tulips onto a panel of Neenah 110lb cardstock. I then used the coordinating stencils to ink blend using Berrylicious, Sweet Mustard, Eucalyptus and Evergreen. I tried to concentrate color at the base of the flowers and leaves to give some added depth. Once satisfied, I used the coordinating die to trim it out.

The background is a very dark green that I dry embossed the Lush Vines Foil Plate onto. I then gold splattered that before adhering the frame, which was created using two of the Double Stitched Rectangles. I left most of the bottom of the frame open so that I could tuck the tulips down into it. The sentiment was gold foiled onto that same dark green cardstock and trimmed out three times for a stacked sentiment. That was glued directly to the panel and the panel was adhered to the card base using foam tape to finish up.

A pretty easy yet beautiful project! The product suites from Pinkfresh make it super easy to create gorgeous projects, so you should definitely check them out, if you haven’t already! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you have a fabulous week!

Pinkfresh Regal Florals

Hey There! So glad that you stopped by! For today’s project, I’m revisiting my desire for dark, dramatic Pinkfresh florals! I really like how this one turned out, so let’s go ahead and go through the details!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I began by die cutting the Fresh Florals from Purple Mist and Green Apple cardstock. I did some ink blending on the florals using Regal Kiss and some on the purple leaves using Soft Lilac. For the green leaves, I used C9 Avocado ink. I went back and cut a few centers from gold cardstock and went ahead and assembled the flowers using foam strips between the purple and green layers. I also glued the leaves together, offsetting those slightly.

The Leafy Lattice was gold foiled onto Plum cardstock and trimmed out using the coordinating die cut. The sentiment was gold foiled as well on the same plum cardstock and trimmed out three times for a stacked sentiment.

The background was created using the PFS Sparkling Diamonds plate, which I think was discontinued. That’s a shame, because I really do love this die cut. I adhered the lattice to the panel using liquid glue, and then began gluing the leaves in place. The sentiment was adhered using foam strips, and the flowers were the last thing to be adhered.

That does it for this project! While I do love the pastel vibe of Pinkfresh, I also love a dramatic Pinkfresh project as well! At this point, I’m challenging myself to create darker cards using their products. I hope you enjoyed this one as much as I did! Thanks again for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!

Pinkfresh Leafy Butterfly Bliss

Hello Friends, and thanks so much for joining me! I recently received a few new goodies from Pinkfresh and wanted to play! After creating my dark navy and gold card, I wanted to give a dark card another go! The Pinkfresh vibe is usually pastel, but you can create some serious gorgeousness using dark colors as well. This card is a combination of pastel and dark, and I hope you like it!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I began this project by gold foiling the Joyful Day Press Plate twice onto Neenah 110lb cardstock. I then used the coordinating stencils to add color using Aquamarine and Tidal Pond inks. Once that was done, I used the coordinating die cut to trim them out. I did go back and add some very light ink blending to the edges of the leaves, because I did not want the stark white edges against my dark background.

I then gold foiled the new Butterfly Bliss Press Plate onto Neenah and ink blended those using Soft Lilac, Sheer Freesia, Hydrangea, Lavender and Licorice inks. I die cut the butterflies using the coordinating dies along with a purple layer as well. Those two were adhered together and set aside.

The background was cut using the Double Stitched Rectangles from Forest cardstock and then gold splattered for some added interest. The sentiment, which is from the Joyful Day set, was gold foiled onto the same Forest cardstock and trimmed out along with two additional cuts for a stacked sentiment.

I adhered the green panel to the card base and I placed pieces of foam strips on the back of the ink blended leaves and adhered those in place, along with the butterfly, trimming off the excess. The sentiment was secured in place using liquid glue, as were the gold metallic pearls. I decided that I wanted some tiny flowers to adorn the leaves, so I cut some of those using Spellbinders Floral Spray from Teal Topaz and Plum cardstocks.

That does it for this project! I hope you enjoyed it! I really do love incorporating dark colors into a Pinkfresh project just to give it a different feel! Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Pinkfresh Dark Floral Beauty

Hello Crafty Friends! Thanks so much for stopping by to check out today’s project featuring some relatively new Pinkfresh goodies. I have a problem .. I purchase Pinkfresh products, and then I never use them, so I’m trying to do something about that! With that being said, I love the pastel, floral vibe of Pinkfresh, but I wanted to try my hand at a dark Pinkfresh card. Let me know what you think in the comments. Let’s go ahead and run through the details for this project!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

Ok, so I knew I wanted dark colors, but I didn’t want to go my usual route of black and grays, so I opted for blues and gold. I began by gold foiling the Interlaced Diamond Press Plate onto Indigo cardstock and used the coordinating die to trim it out. I also cut one from black and adhered those together using liquid glue. My next step was to cut the Fresh Florals from Partly Cloudy cardstock. This is an older Spellbinders cardstock, and I think the comparable new ColorWheel color would be Malibu.

Once all of the florals and leaves were cut, I did some ink blending on the flowers using Stargazer ink. I went pretty heavy handed as I wanted the flowers to match the indigo. After I was done ink blending, I decided that it might be pretty to add a layer of gold to everything, so I cut the Fresh Florals again from gold cardstock. I adhered the blue flowers to the gold flowers using foam squares, because I wanted to be able to see the underlying layer. I then assembled the rest of the flowers with liquid glue.

I gold foiled the sentiment, which is from the Favorite Things set, onto the same indigo cardstock and used the coordinating die to trim it out twice. Before beginning the assembly of the card, I cut a panel of the indigo and gold splattered that to add a bit of background interest.

The Interlaced Diamonds was adhered first and then I began adhering the leaves. I glued the gold leaves in place and then glued the blue leaves atop those but slightly off center. I then glued the flowers in place and adhered the sentiment in the center using foam strips. To finish up, I added gold metallic pearls to the centers of the flowers.

That does it for this project! So, how do you feel about a dark Pinkfresh card? Don’t get me wrong, I do love me some pastel colors too, but I needed to try this. I appreciate you swinging by to check out this project, and I hope you have a wonderful day! Stay awesome, friend!

Pinkfresh Blooming Leafy Lattice

Hello Friends, and welcome back! I recently received my Pinkfresh order with goodies from the March release, and I found some time to play! This project is featuring the new Blooming Grace Washi Tape and the Leafy Lattice Press Plate. Let’s not waste time and go ahead and run through the details!

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I began this project by smoothing out a panel of the washi tape onto Neenah 110lb cardstock, and using the coordinating die to trim those pieces out. I then went ahead and gold foiled the Leafy Lattice and trimmed that out with coordinating die as well. I wanted a background for all of my elements, so I used the Sparkling Diamonds die cut. I haven’t been able to locate this die cut on the Pinkfresh website, so I’m not sure if it has been discontinued. But, I thought it worked really well with the way I wanted to orient the lattice.

My next step was to play around with the placement of everything, and before adhering anything, I did some light ink blending on the background panel using Peony ink. I placed foam strips on the back of the lattice and adhered that to my panel first. I decided that I needed some additional green leaves, so I used the Fresh Florals die and ink blended those leaves using Fresh Pear and Olive inks.

The sentiment was already in my stash, and that is from the Here For You Sentiments Press Plate, which I had gold foiled as well. I went ahead and adhered the sentiment in the center using the same foam strips, glued the green leaves in place, and then adhered the washi tape pieces, again with foam strips. To finish up, I added some Gold Metallic Pearls.

That does it for this project! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. If you’ve never tried the Pinkfresh washi tapes, I definitely encourage you to give it a try! They are simple to use, and yield beautiful card results! Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Carry On With Courage

Hello Friends, and welcome back! Today’s project is featuring florals with some absolutely gorgeous paper from Your Paper Insider! I love grays and black, but this pink cardstock is beyond gorgeous! The color doesn’t come through in the pictures, but it’s the softest, palest pink that I’ve ever come across, and I thought it paired so well with the dark colors on this card. If you haven’t checked out Your Paper Insider, I highly recommend that you do so! It’s a fun subscription box that features papers from all over the world to include many cardstock colors and specialty papers. Let’s go ahead and get into the details for this project.

NOTE: all supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this blog post.

I began this project by die cutting some florals and leaves from the Spellbinders Vivid Blooms set using all of these colors from my subscription box. Once the florals were assembled, I went ahead and used the PinkFresh Studio Sparkling Diamonds plate on a panel of darker gray cardstock.

Before moving on, I did splatter that panel with some black acrylic ink for some added interest. The sentiment was created using the PinkFresh Studio Wonderful Sentiments and Opal foil. The was die cut several times to create a stacked sentiment.

I began assembling the card by adhering the gray leaves first using liquid glue and then adhering the pink leaves atop those. I then adhered the outside flowers, again with liquid glue, and then adhered the center flower with foam tape. The sentiment was adhered with foam strips, and I tucked in some additional leaves to fill in. Clear drops were added to finish up.

That does it for this project. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! Take some time to check out Your Paper Insider to see if it’s something that interests you! Thanks again for hanging out with me, and I hope you have a fabulous day!

PinkFresh Pastel Joyful Leaves

Hello Friends, and welcome back! I appreciate you stopping by to check out today’s project featuring some new-ish products from PFS! Let’s not waste time and jump right into the details.

Main Products:

I began this project by foiling the PFS Joyful Day Press Plate using gold foil. Yes, you read that correctly! That’s the great thing about Press Plates .. They can be foiled, they can be inked and used as a press plate, and they can also be used to make an embossed impression if you so desire. No worries if you haven’t delved into the world of press plates, just use your Glimmer machine! I also foiled the PFS Decorative Frames using the same gold foil, along with the sentiment, which is from the PFS Script Sentiments Hot Foil Plate set. The frames were then cut using the coordinating die.

Moving on .. Since the machine was already hot, I used the PFS Solid Hot Foil Plate to go ahead and transfer the reverse image of the Joyful Day onto a panel of Neenah 110lb cardstock, because I wanted to use that as well. Before using the coordinating die to trim the leaves out, I used the coordinating stencil to do some ink blending using PFS inks in Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Ocean Breeze and Turquoise.

The sentiment was cut two additional times and glued together for a stacked sentiment, which I really enjoy! Now that I have all of the pieces for the card, I started playing around with placement, and decided that I wanted a textured background inside the frame, so I used the PFS Dotted Chevron for that. I did some very light ink blending in the upper corner using the same Sparkling Rose ink, and I just trimmed it down to fit inside the frame without any of the edges showing.

I adhered the ink blended leaves atop the gold leaves with liquid glue and also glued the chevron panel behind the frame. The leaves were then glued in place, along with the sentiment, and the panel was secured to the card base with foam tape for some added dimension. To finish up, I added a few clear drops.

That does it for this one! I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope it inspires you to get crafty in your space! Thanks again for stopping by, and don’t forget to stay awesome!

Floral Happy Thoughts

Hello Friend, and welcome back to my blog! I’m so glad that you stopped by to check out today’s project featuring the Fantasy Flowers from Alex Syberia Designs. I picked up this set while I was at CREATE, and couldn’t wait to make something with it! Let’s go ahead and run through the details!

Main Products:

I began this card by die cutting a bunch of flowers, leaves and a few stems using the Fantasy Flowers set from Neenah 110lb cardstock. Once those were cut, I did some ink blending using SSS Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Seafoam, Mist, Raindrop, Melon, Cantalope, Sherbet, Honey and Aspen. I did decide to go back and cut one of the center portions of the flowers from black cardstock, before adhering all of the pieces together using liquid glue.

The background panel is the PFS Sparking Diamonds, which was cut from Peacock cardstock, and the frame is the PFS Simply Diamonds. I thought these two paired well together, and added some nice texture and interest. The sentiment is from the SSS XL Greetings 2 set, and this is definitely one of my favorites! It was stamped on black cardstock and heat embossed using SSS Detail White Embossing Powder. It was cut two additional times and adhered together for a stacked sentiment.

Once I began playing around with the placement of the flowers and leaves, I thought some black leaves would look pretty good, so I cut some of those using the Classic Foliage, also from Alex Syberia Designs. I glued the panels together, and then glued the leaves and orange flowers in place. The teal flowers were then adhered using SSS Foam Squares, and the sentiment was adhered using SSS 3D Foam Strips to finish up.

That does it for this one! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! This color combination is going to become a favorite of mine! Thanks again for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day!

PinkFresh Studio May Challenge – Flower Power

Hello Crafty Friends, and welcome back to my blog! I rarely participate in challenges, but decided that I would give the PFS May Challenge a go. The theme is Flower Power, and flowers are always up my alley, so why not?! Let’s run through the details, shall we?

Main Products:

I began this project by foiling the PFS Simplest Gestures florals onto a panel of Neenah 110lb cardstock, using gold foil. I then used the coordinating stencils to do some ink blending using PFS inks in Bubble Gum, Sunkissed, Citron, Ocean Breeze and Atlantis. Once all of the ink blending was complete, I used the coordinating die to trim them out.

I went back to foiling for the sentiment using the PFS Wonderful Sentiment Foil Plate and coordinating die. I cut three and adhered all of the together using liquid glue for a stacked sentiment. Now to pull everything together! I did some light ink blending on my card base using leftover ink on the blending brush and glued the PFS Floral and Diamond Tiles panel atop that.

The card was needing a little something else, so I added a gold frame using the SSS A2 Thin Frames, and then adhered the florals using SSS Foam Squares. The sentiment was adhered amongst the flowers using SSS 3D Foam Strips for a little added dimension. I also used the SSS Budding Branches and cut a few of the ‘buds’, glued those in place and added some PFS Gold Metallic Pearls. I did trim off the excess flowers and added a few back in around the edges of the card to finish up.

That does it for this project! I hope you enjoyed it, and I hope it inspires you to get crafty in your space! Thanks again for joining me, and don’t forget to stay awesome!

Many Thanks Roses

Hello Friends and welcome back! Thanks for joining me! Today’s project is mostly all PinkFresh Studio products, with a Simon product thrown in. I’ve always said that I absolutely love PinkFresh Washi Tapes, and the newest washis are no different! Let’s run through the details for this one, shall we?

Main Products:

I began this project by cutting several panels of the newest PFS Fluttering Butterflies Washi and the PFS Vines and Roses Washi using the coordinating dies. These two sets work so perfectly together! Once the washi tapes were cut, I went to work on the design of the card.

The background panel was stamped onto a panel of Neenah 110lb cardstock using the PFS Bougainvillea Print stamp with PFS Misty Coast ink. I chose this ink because I wanted a subtle background image, and this grey is absolutely great for that. Once it was stamped, I trimmed it down using the PFS Diagonal Stitched Rectangles and moved on. I love using the washi tape pieces around a focal point so I cut the PFS Ornate Circle and put SSS 3D Foam Strips on the back.

The sentiment is from the PFS Modern Script Sentiments Foil Plate set, and I used gold foil for that and used the coordinating die to cut it out along with two additional pieces, adhering all of those together with liquid glue. As I always say, all of my florals always need additional leaves, so I opted to use the SSS Budding Branches for this.

Now to assemble the card! The circle was place in the center of the panel, and I arranged the washi tape pieces around the top and bottom portions, securing with a combination of glue and foam strips for support. I did tuck in the white leaves for added interest and added PFS Gold Metallic Pearls to the ‘bud’ portions. The sentiment was glued directly to the panel before everything was adhered to the card base.

That does it for this one! If you haven’t tried the PinkFresh washi tapes, I highly encourage you to do so! They make for effortless, beautiful projects! Thanks again for stopping by! Have a wonderful day, and don’t forget to stay awesome, friend!
