Reverse Confetti Celebrate

Hello Friends and welcome back! Thanks for stopping by! Today’s card is featuring the new Tropical Leaves from Reverse Confetti’s July release! It’s a super simple card, but I love the greens and yellows! Let’s get into it!

I’m going to start off by saying that the gel print that these leaves were made from was created a REALLY long time ago! This particular gel print was made using regular, inexpensive acrylic paint on thin white paper. The only other tools used were a gel plate, obviously, and a brayer.

To begin this project, I cut an A2 card base using Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock and added some ink blending using PinkFresh Studio Fresh Pear and Lemon Whip inks, along with some white splatter using Royal Talens Amsterdam Titanium White Acrylic Ink. I love this ink for splatter because it stays bright white, and it has the perfect splatter consistency! I used the Reverse Confetti Stitched Note and Frames Confetti Cuts to cut a panel of Neenah 110lb, and adhered the outside frame to my card base using foam tape.

I used the RC Celebrate Tag Confetti Cuts to cut the shadow portion from patterned paper from Vicki Boutin, and the letters from black cardstock twice. I adhered all of those together using glue. I then glued the sentiment to the note portion of the frames, and adhered that in the center of my card using foam tape.

I stamped the Tropical Leaves on my gel print using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed them using Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. Once that was done, I used the Tropical Leaves Confetti Cuts die to run those through my die cutting machine. Remember earlier when I said that this gel print was created on thin white paper? Well, my leaves needed some extra thickness, so I ran the leaf die cuts through the machine again using Neenah 110lb and glued those together for sturdiness. Those were then glued to the corners of my card.

To finish up, I added some sparkling clear confetti, because bling! See, super simple card! I just loved how that patterned paper matched my gel print leaves so well! If you haven’t checked out the Reverse Confetti July release, whatchoo waiting for?!?!

Erin Lee Creative Hugs

Hello Crafty Friend! I hope you’re having a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by for today’s card, which is featuring the Chevron Builder along with the Hugs not Ughs Layering Die from the ever so beautiful Erin Lee. Now for the details!

I had previously made a card using these same chevron pieces and had so many left over that I made a second card! I cut a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock for adhering the pieces. I placed foam tape on the back of the chevron pieces and began adhering them to the panel.

Don’t you just love this sentiment?! It has definitely been added to my list of favorites! I die cut the sentiment once from holographic cardstock and twice from Neenah 110, adhering those together using liquid glue. That was then glued to the shadow, which was cut from black cardstock.

I adhered the sentiment to the panel off center and added some Studio Katia Onyx Crystals to one of the chevron pieces. I then adhered that panel to a black panel for contrast. I just love using black on my cards! Do you like using black, or not?

Everything was then adhered to the card base, which is also Neenah 110lb. And, that finishes up this card! I’m really loving this Chevron Builder, and foresee it getting a lot of use in the future! Have a wonderful day and don’t forget to stay awesome!

Reverse Confetti Forever and Always

Hello and welcome back! The latest Stock Your Stash Challenge is happening over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and this month’s theme is Wedding. I hope you’ll join in on the fun! Let’s get right in to the details of my wedding card!

I began my project by stamping a floral and several leaves from the Reverse Confetti Peony Stamp set on Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Once stamped, I heat set them using Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. Then I added color using Copic markers RV00, RV10, RV11, RV32, R85, G20, G21 and G24.

When I had finished the coloring, I used the coordinating Peony Confetti Cuts to trim those out. I also used the Reverse Confetti Stitched Circles Cover Panel to to cut a panel from Neenah 110lb, because the background needed some interest.

I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Reverse Confetti Word Up stamp set, on black cardstock using VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it using SSS Detail White Embossing Powder. I had to play around with the placement of the flower, leaves and sentiment before I could adhere anything.

I added foam tape to the back of the floral and tucked the leaves behind it, securing those with glue. I added the remaining leaves to the panel using foam tape, along with the sentiment. Everything was then adhered to the card base, which is Neenah 110lb. I had to add embellishments, right?! No card is complete without embellishments! I opted for some pearls from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards.

Erin Lee Creative Graffiti Heart Vibes

Hello and welcome back! I’m so glad that you stopped by! I’m still playing with my Erin Lee Creative goodies, and today’s card is featuring the Graffiti Heart Stencil along with the Good Vibes Layering Die. Let’s not waste any more time and get right to the deets!

To begin, I cut a panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb cardstock to an A2 size and adhered the Graffiti Heart Stencil to it using masking tape. I then used Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo to give it a good coat, and then set it aside to dry.

Once the gel was dry, I applied a sheet of Deco Foil Amethyst Watercolor and ran it through the die cutting machine. This stencil does not cover a full card panel, so I carefully used the smaller splatter portions of the stencil to repeat the process.

I could really only repeat the process on two small sections of the panel at a time, so that’s what I did! I applied the gel, set it aside to dry and then added more foil. I don’t remember how many times this was repeated, but I wanted the whole panel covered.

A mistake that I made while making this card, was not putting a clean piece of paper over the previously foiled heart, so it picked up marks and such from my die cutting plate. With that being said, I had to re-apply gel to the heart and re-foil it. The second time around, I didn’t get it quite smooth enough, but I just went with it anyhoo! We’re just going to say that it adds to the graffiti character! I hate making mistakes, but it’s part of life, and now I know for the next time!

I die cut the Good Vibes sentiment once from Glossy Black cardstock and twice from Neenah 110lb and adhered those together using liquid glue. My panel was then adhered to the card base, which is also Neenah 110lb, using foam tape for dimension.

Erin Lee Creative Chevron Hi

Hello there crafty friend! I hope you’re having an amazing day! I’m so glad that you stopped by! I was beyond excited when asked to play with some goodies from Erin Lee Creative! Like beyond! So, today’s card is featuring the Chevron Builder and Jumbo Hi dies from her previous releases. Let’s jump right in to the details, shall we?

To begin this project, I pulled out six colors of cardstock from The Stamp Market and die cut the Chevron Builder from those colors twice. I also trimmed a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock just smaller than an A2 card to layer the chevron pieces on.

I put foam tape on the back of the chevron pieces and began adhering them in rainbow order, leaving a small space between, until the entire panel was covered.

I die cut the Erin Lee Creative Jumbo Hi once from Glossy Black cardstock, and two more times from black cardstock and adhered all of those together using liquid glue. I then glued the sentiment in the center of the chevron panel.

This was then adhered to a black panel for contrast, and then to the card base, which is also Neenah 110lb. This card felt like it needed some embellishments, so I opted for some black crystals from Studio Katia.

Spellbinders Chill Bear Winter Wishes

Hello Friend and thanks for stopping by! For today’s project, I’m featuring the Chill Bear and the Color Block Scenic Scape dies from the July releases from Spellbinders. There are so many beautiful and adorable Christmas and holiday things to choose from! I had a lot of fun playing with the Chill Bear, so let’s get into the details!

I began by cutting the Chill Bear and a bunch of “hills” using the Color Block Scenic Scape dies from Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock. For the bear, I did cut two additional legs and I cut the face from pink and black cardstock so that I could inlay those pieces. I cut the snout and colored that using Copic Markers C00, N0 and 110 Black. I also cut some of the included trees from green cardstock. I smeared the trees with Tacky When Dry Gel Medium and set those aside to dry.

I cut a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 80lb cardstock just smaller than an A2 card, because I needed something to glue the “hills” to. I began adhering the hills to the panel using liquid glue, leaving the tops of the panels unglued so that I could tuck the trees inside. Once the trees were dry, I sprinkled some Crystal Glitter over them to give just a little bit of sparkle.

For the sentiment, I cut the Winter Wishes, which is from the Spellbinders Christmas Mix & Match Sentiments, once from Spellbinders Gold Mirror cardstock and twice from Neenah 110lb and glued all of those together. For the last bit of die cutting, I went ahead and cut the scarf from red cardstock and glued that to the bear.

I had to play around with the placement of the trees, the sentiment and the bear, but once decided, I adhered the bear to the panel using foam tape. I tucked the trees into the hills and glued the sentiment to the panel. Once all of that was done, I grabbed the Spellbinders Layered Christmas Tree Stencil and strategically placed some snow, using Gina K Iridescent Glitz Glitter Gel.

To finish up, I adhered the panel to a red cardstock panel using foam tape and that was then adhered to the card base, which is also Neenah 110lb. I hope you enjoyed this project, and I hope it inspires you to get crafty! Don’t forget to stay awesome!

Spellbinders Faith, Hope And Peace

Hey there! Thanks for stopping in today! I hope you’re having a wonderful day! Is it too early for Christmas cards? I don’t know that I’ve ever made a Christmas or holiday card in August! But … All the new Christmas goodies on the Spellbinders website are just too good to resist! Today’s card is featuring the new Layered Christmas Tree Stencil. I had a lot of fun with this one, so let’s get right into the details!

I began by adhering the Layered Christmas Tree Stencil to a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock using masking tape. Then I started ink blending on the open tree portion using Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness. I also used Distress Oxide Mustard Seed for the star. I switched to the detailed tree portion of the stencil and applied a good layer of Tacky When Dry Gel Medium and set that aside to dry. I also did the same to the detailed portion of the star. I repeated this process to make two trees.

I cut a panel of Neenah 110lb cardstock just smaller than an A2 card, and also used the Spellbinders Color Block Scenic Scape dies to cut some “hills.” I adhered the hills to the panel using liquid glue, but leaving an open area on one of the hills so that I could tuck the second tree in there. I then used the snowfall portion of the stencil and applied Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel Iridescent over the panel and set that aside to dry.

Now that the tacky medium has dried clear, I sprinkled Crystal Glitter over the trees to give them a nice sparkle. For the gold on the yellow star, I used Tonic Studios Nuvo Gold Gilding Flakes, and just rubbed them on with my finger. Remember, I had put tacky medium on that as well. I then fussy cut the trees and the star. I used Spellbinders Fashion Gold Embellishments to add all of the gold baubles. I did reinforce those with glue, just to be sure they didn’t fall off.

I tucked one of the trees in the open space that I had left on the hills and glued it there. I glued the star to the other tree and put foam tape on the back of that one and adhered it atop the panel. I used the Spellbinders Holiday Sentiments Series 2 to gold foil one of the sentiments, and adhered it to the panel using foam tape again. All of this was then adhered to the card base, which is also Neenah 110lb.

LDRS Floral Hi

Hello Crafty Friends and welcome back! I hope you’re doing well and having a fabulous day! Thanks for joining me today! I’m super excited to announce that I’ve joined the LDRS Design Team, and today is my first project for them! Today’s project is featuring the Garden Grandeur Slimline Stamp, Stencil and Die set from LDRS. So let’s just jump right into the details, shall we?

I began this project by stamping the Garden Grandeur floral on a piece of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock, using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat setting it using Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. The coordinating stencil was then adhered to the stamped image using masking tape. I used LDRS inks in Pink Tutu, Lipstick Jungle, Scarlet Rose, Lantern Yellow, Dan-D-Lion, Key Lime Pie and Olive Branch for the stenciling. When the stenciling was completed, I used the coordinating die to cut the flowers.

I cut an A2 panel of Neenah 110lb and used the Pink Tutu ink to do some very light ink blending in the corners. I also used the LDRS Pretty Patterns Slimline Die to cut a frame from Neenah 110lb as well. I positioned the frame diagonally across my panel, trimming off the excess. This is a great way to stretch your supplies! You can use those Slim Line dies in unique ways by positioning them differently on other size cards!

The excess pieces were then added around the corners of the panel, using liquid glue, for added interest. No sense in wasting those right?!? For the sentiment, I chose to use the LDRS Chloe Alpha Lowercase and cut the letters hi three times from Neenah 110lb, adhering with glue.

I played around with the placement of the flowers and sentiment, and when I finally was satisfied, I glued the sentiment directly to the panel and adhered the large floral using foam tape in the upper corner. I trimmed the excess, and placed the remaining portion of the floral in the bottom corner. I still had excess, so I added that to the side. Again, no sense in wasting it! To finish up, I added some pearls for added interest, and adhered everything to the card base, which is also Neenah 110lb.

Spellbinders Chill Bear Warm Holiday Wishes

Hello and welcome back! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you’re having an awesome day! How cute is this polar bear?! I was so excited to play with the new Spellbinders Chill Bear dies and couldn’t wait to get my hands on them! So let’s just get right to it with the details of the card.

To begin, I pulled out a piece of light blue cardstock from my stash and trimmed it just smaller than an A2 card. I was going for a night sky type of effect, but I didn’t want it too dark. I ink blended around the edges of the blue panel using Distress Oxide Faded Jeans, Prize Ribbon and Black Soot, and then did some white splatter using Royal Talens Amsterdam Titanium White Acrylic Ink.

While the splatter was drying, I die cut the Chill Bear from Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock. I also die cut just the face with pink cardstock from my stash, as well as, black cardstock so that I could inlay those tiny pieces. I cut two additional legs and adhered those using liquid glue. I also die cut the snout and used Copic Markers C00, N0 and 110 black to color it.

I used the Spellbinders Color Block Scenic Scape dies to cut some “hills” and adhered those to the bottom of the blue panel using glue. I put foam tape on the back of the bear and adhered it atop the hills. I used the Spellbinders Holiday Sentiments Series 2 foil plates to gold foil the sentiment strip. The foiled sentiment actually says, Warm Holiday Wishes, but I trimmed off the wishes part, because I wanted to use a different wishes.

The gold wishes sentiment is from the Spellbinders Christmas Mix & Match Sentiments. I die cut the Wishes once from Spellbinders Mirror Gold cardstock and twice from Neenah 110lb and glued them all together. I adhered the sentiment strip to the panel using foam tape and adhered the wishes portion underneath using glue. While I was die cutting sentiments, I decided to die cut the scarf in gold as well. The panel was then adhered to a black panel before adhering to the card base, which is also Neenah 110lb.

Reverse Confetti August Release Blog Hop

Hello, Hello and welcome back! Today’s the day! The new Reverse Confetti August mini release is live! To celebrate, we are having a blog hop with tons of inspiration from the team! You don’t want to miss it! The hop list will be posted below! I’ve got two cards for you today featuring the Floral Chain Cover Panel and the Scripty Sentiments stamp set! Let’s not waste any more time and jump right into the details!

For both of these cards, I opted not to use the frame portion of the die, and just use the flowers. By not using the die as it was intended, it’s a great way to stretch your supplies. For the first card, I pulled out a sheet of watercolor paper and die cut several of the flowers, along with their centers. I also pulled out my Karin Brushmarkers and a water brush. I wet the flowers and dropped in the color using the markers, thinning out for lighter colors and adding more for darker colors. I set those aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card.

I cut a panel of Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardstock just smaller than an A2 card base and did some light ink blending on the corners using Distress Oxide Mustard Seed. I knew that I wanted to add a frame to the card, so I die cut the Reverse Confetti Stitched Note and Frames from Neenah 110lb and placed foam tape on the back of it.

I popped the ink blended panel in the Misti and stamped the sentiment from the new Scripty Sentiments set using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it using Ranger Clear Embossing Powder. I adhered the frame to the panel and began adhering the flowers together using liquid glue.

I adhered the flowers atop the frame and the card panel using glue as well, before attaching the panel to the card base using foam tape. To finish up, I added a few PinkFresh Studio Jewels to some of the flowers for some added bling!

For my second card, I used the same floral dies to make striped flowers this time. I cut a bunch of strips in varying sizes using cardstock from The Stamp Market, and adhered those in rainbow order to a scrap of Neenah 80lb cardstock using double-sided tape. When all of that was complete, I die cut a few of the flowers using the striped panel.

I went ahead and die cut a panel using the Reverse Confetti Peekaboo Cover Panel and popped it in the Misti and stamped the sentiment from the Scripty Sentiments set, using the same black ink and embossing powder.

The card felt like it needed some leaves so I used one of the leaves from the Reverse Confetti Peony stamp set and stamped that using VersaMark Ink on black cardstock and heat embossed them using SSS Detail White Embossing Powder. I also used the coordinating die to cut those out.

I played with the placement of the leaves and flowers before adhering them down using a combination of foam tape and glue. Once that was done, I added some PinkFresh Studio Gold Metallic Pearls and popped up some of the peekaboo elements on the panel.

To finish up this card, I adhered it to a card base, which is Neenah 110lb, using liquid glue.
