Simon Says Stamp Delicate Blossoms

Hello Friend, and thanks for joining me! Today’s project is featuring the new Delicate Blossoms stamp from Simon’s latest release, Happy Camper. I began this project by stamping the image onto a panel of watercolor paper using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat setting it using clear embossing powder. I then went to work using pan watercolors to color the image. I’m not even going to lie, this process too me almost an entire day! I’m very slow and I wanted to make sure that I had some depth to the flowers and leaves.

Once I was satisfied, I used the new More A7 Rectangles set to trim it down. I added some foam tape to the back of the panel and adhered it to a black panel for some contrast. I cut my card base, black splattered it and set it aside while I worked on the sentiment. I cut the hello once from silver cardstock and twice from black cardstock, while cutting the shadow portion twice as well. All of those pieces were adhered together before moving on.

I adhered the panel to the card base, glued my sentiment in place and added some silver embellishments to finish up. I chose the space near the bottom right, because I did not want to cover up any of the flowers that I had spent hours coloring!
